What is a Subscriber?

A subscriber is any reader who has access to the privately viewable potions of your online publication.

Accessing Subscribers

To access the list of subscribers, select on the “Subscribers” link in the side bar of the administrative home page. This is the Subscribers page, where all previously-entered subscribers appear in a list in alphabetical order. If no subscribers have been entered, this list will be empty. The system includes in this list each subscriber’s name, email address, and status as active or inactive.

Creating a New Subscriber

To create a new subscriber, select the “Create a New Subscriber” link at the top of the Subscribers page next to the green plus sign icon. This provides a link to a page where all the available data about a subscriber may be entered. Every field that has an asterisk next to its description is a required field. An email address, first and last name, and company are required information for a new subscriber. Enter in any other information that is available as well. Select a password that your new subscriber can use to access your online publication and verify that password in the next field. Select the box marked “Receives Newsletter” if you want that subscriber to receive any mailings sent in conjunction with the publication. Only select the “Inactive” option if you do not want a subscriber to be able to access your online magazine for some reason. Use the drop menus to select the date that a subscriber’s subscription to your online publication will expire. Make all the necessary changes to this page and click “Save.” The subscriber will immediately be able to access your online publication and will be available for you to send mailings to. To make any modifications to any subscribers at any time, go to the Subscribers page, find the appropriate subscriber in the list, click on the name, make the necessary changes, and then select “Save” or “Delete” to delete a subscriber.
